Keboi started out the show with "Black on Black Rhymes: The Is Is Edition".
Maura was the first to voice her anger with her untitled piece about the elections. She mostly talked about how she was learning the Canadian National Anthem for when she moves there.
Chris represented with "Just Imagine".
Bro. John aka The Ancinet Newcomer blessed us with his presence and the poem "Tribute to Black Music", which was commisioned for Black Music History Month.
Ali performed a snippet of his newest piece, which has to do with plagiarism and then performed another new piece, "We’ve All Heard the Story Before".
Ali stopped in between his performace when Black on Black Rhyme’s The Conscious Party’s L.I.F.E. stepped through the door with D-Slack, a poet from
Everyone was crunk about seeing him, fresh off a trip from
Paul D performed "Getting Burnt" and then D-Slack got up for his mini-feature. He performed "Runako’s Rain" about the death of his brother as well as "Fucked Up-itis" and "Damn Shame".
The open mike was hot tonight too. Lyrik and Alabama Black brought some fresh talent to the mike as well as Trooth. Kiffanie was present again but disappointed us when she refused to perform yet again. Maybe next week.
