(not too hard!). Over 80 people showed up to mingle and reason with Atlanta's who's who of poets and artists. Our co-features, R&B crooner/guitarist Ken J, and founder and CEO of Black on Black Rhyme, Keith Rodgers wowed the audience with their art as the eclectic crowd vibed off the smooth ambience of Onyxx's swank setting, tasty seafood, and mixed-just-right drinks. ![]() | ![]() |

Internationally known poet, Queen Sheba of 106th and Park and Showtime at the Apollo, Tommy Bottoms and Abyss of HBO's Def Poetry Jam, master poetry organizer Cocktails, and many other ATL area poets came through to support the opening of what hopes to be a long-lasting venue in the city.

With your support, no longer will the people of the Southside have to make the 30-45 minute Exodus to downtown Atlanta (or God-forbid, Buckhead) to enjoy high-quality nightlife. Now, with Black on Black Rhyme-Atlanta, you can take a little hop/skip and be right in the heart of some of the nation's best poetry and spoken word
. Did I remember to tell you that it's all for FREE? No, that's not a typo, F-R-E-E! The food is mouth-watering and reasonable. The hardwood floors, earthtone decorum, and curved-glass ceiling are impeccable. Take a look a the pictures for yourself and make sure you show up next Tuesday at 9pm. Matter of fact, be there at 8:45pm to ensure that you get a good seat. Come build with us, chill with us, find your future baby's daddy with us down at Onyxx Restaurant.
